"Remind me again why I thought spending six weeks with a bunch of hyperactive, sweaty and supposedly 'musically gifted' kids was a good idea?" Bailey Cunningham has gone and taken the plunge - she's not only signed up for the job of a camp counselor at Triple Lakes Camp for Musically Gifted Children, but she's roped her best friend, Savannah, into it too. However, the pair really get more than they bargained for when they discover they'll be sharing their summer with not only the kids, but the guy who looks as if he's stepped out of an Abercrombie and Fitch catalog, the quirky brother, and the sugar-coated flautist who's way too sweet for her own good. In the midst of the madness, only one thing's for sure: Bailey knows absolutely nothing about music.

[BEING PUBLISHED -- sample and more info inside] One girl. One camp for delinquents. One hell of a summer. Falice Winters has always been the goody-two shoes. Her twin Arabelle . . . not so much. So what happens when their dad plans to ship Arabelle off to a camp to clean up her act? Well, naturally, Arabelle would find a way out. Her solution? Falice! It was a simple plan: Falice would pretend to be Arabelle and go to the delinquent camp while Arabelle got to have the time of her life with her boyfriend in London. Falice thought her summer was going to consist of sitting on the couch reading novels all day or hanging out with her friends. Never did it cross her mind that she would be pretending to be her sister in a camp of delinquents. But now she's stuck at a camp all summer where being rude is the new "in." And everything turns for the worse when someone figures out her secret. Will Falice survive the summer? Or will everyone learn that she's faking delinquency?

Here is a countdown of ten reasons why I hate my high school, especially my freshman year. 10. The school is gigantic. It is remotely impossible for a human to navigate around it and get to class on time with 4 minutes in between each period. 9. There are no air conditioners in the school besides the two in the principal's office. 8. The school lunch is some crappy main dish with two pieces of broccoli. On some rare occasions, we get three. 7. The teachers don't give two pissing shits about the students. The only time they acknowledge us is when the principal walks by the classroom. 6. Couples enjoy walking so damn slow in the hallways when everyone is rushing to their next class. Like seriously. If you want to take a stroll, go to the park. 5. The toilets in the bathroom aren't capable of flushing considering the massive amount diarrhea strikes students have after eating broccoli daily. 4. The cliche jocks and cheerleaders are the worst people you'll ever meet. They're worse than the ones in movies. 3. Megan Paramelo, aka Queen Bitch, is ten times bitchier than Regina George from Mean Girls. Scratch that. A hundred times bitchier. I'd take Regina George any time over her. 2. All the guys are immature dick heads. Well, excluding the cute Adam dude from my Geometry class... 1. Freshman Friday is like the school's main hobby. All the ideal pranks are controlled by the devil itself, or in other words, Chase Stunner. He's the most egotistical, narcissistic, jerk living on this planet. However, might I add, he is a stunner. Life has decided to fuck me over when I happen to get on his bad side. Not only am I a freshman now. I'm THE freshman that the almighty Chase despises. Oh joy. Highschool. -- Give this story a chance!

Calliden (Cal) is diagnosed with cancer when she is 15. Luckily she's got two brothers that always have her back and know how to make her laugh. They're triplets, and closer than anything, and even cancer can't change that. Cal's not too sure if she likes how cancer is changing her dad, however. He's decided to step up and be a "good parent," a big change from the drunk, home-but-not-really-there type of guy he was just a few hours before she wound up in the hospital. Sure, it sounds great, a dad who's decided to be involved in her life, but Cal would rather just take care of herself. Then there's Alex, a fellow cancer patient who has a lifetime of practice of feeling sorry for himself, and pities Cal's new predicament as well. There is also Matt. Matt: a guy who appears out of nowhere are seems to be everything Cal has ever dreamed of.
