Peridot has always preffered to be alone. she doesn't want to talk to people. She can't. she's almost 16... And mute. She has spent the majority of her life in a hospital because she was abandoned by her parents. But when she hears she's going to have her first roomate, who is apparently deaf, she is less then thrilled at the idea.

Lapidot human AU (Highschool). Lapis and Peridot have had a long history. Despite a dodgy past as kids, they've been best friends for the past 5 years. Now that school is almost over, their relationship is looking to take another direction as Lapis notices new feelings for her best bud. This story will be the same as "My Best Friend Lapis", just told from Lapis' POV.

Lapis is back on Earth and decides to stay with Peridot in hopes of healing the scars between the two of them. Little does she know that her and Peridot are bound to become more than friends.
