Aaron isn't on either side of the conflict that brews in the Sambria Empire. He's most people, really: hating the Empire's government for one reason or another, and being harmed by the rebellion's extreme measures. So he does his best to stay out of it. But when he's arrested on the suspicion of being a rebel...Well, nothing goes as expected. Now the young, good-for-nothing thief has to choose, once and for all: whose side is he on? (Old NaNo writing that may be continued if I feel like it)

~BOOK ONE OF THE BURNING~ Blood. Death. Fear. That is what makes up FloraClan. It's what keeps them together. But for Robinpaw, it's what haunts her dreams. Ever since the murder of her brother at the paws of her sister, Robinpaw has feared blood more than anything else. Her sister was exiled from the Clan...but Robinpaw can't help but think there was a bigger conspiracy in place. Why did her sister know the killing bite? Why were the Healers absent? And most importantly...why did none of the Testers seem surprised? Nothing seems to make sense...nothing adds up. For Robinpaw, it all leads to one question: Was FloraClan really a paradise? "The legend of Diorite and Jerboa had been passed down through every tribe for generations upon generations, warning against the folly of young love," says the red-orange dragon to the hatchlings seated around him. "Listen well, for it is a warning to every tribe." One of the hatchlings straightens eagerly. "Can you start?" The old dragon sighs, ruffling his wings. "Patience, young one." He takes a deep breath, then recites: "The story of Jerboa, a tale of darkness and sorrow. Diorite's sad story, of anger and of hatred. A diplomat with a noble, spelled disaster for every tribe. A rebellion in the sands, a mad king still he stands. Unwilling mother of cursed egg, a hybrid dragon it would hatch... The story of two lovers, doomed to never be." ~ COVER TEMPORARY ~
