Escaping Sebastian isn't easy. He always finds a way to come back. Jace and Clary are as happy as can be when Sebastian isn't in the way to ruin it. Sebastian has a lot of tricks up his sleeve and the tricks that most shadowhunters can't fix. And Clary being Sebastian's sister, he isn't afraid to do things to make the other shadowhunters weak.

Hazel has a good life. She's a shadowhunter, but her parents, and her aren't involved with the shadowhunting world for the most part. She loves hanging out at the club, she's beautiful, and intelligent, and is noticed by everyone where she goes. But what happens when one day her parents go missing, and the only clue as to where they are is her seeing a Prince of Hell take off with them for what seems to be no reason. A shadowhunter, who Hazel just met, says he'll help her, but she soon finds out that he's Sebastian Morgenstern. At first Hazel thinks nothing of it. Then she learns of all the horrible things he's gone. But can't bring herself to tell the Clive. Anything to save her parents, right? And... she seems to find herself falling for him... even though she doesn't want to. This book was started before I read City of Heavenly Fire, so please bear with me on somethings.
