Four unmarked survivors. One totalitarian government. A fight to keep their humanity intact. 100 years into the future, the E-91 virus has thrust the world into chaos. For Rachel Wilson, survival hasn't come easy. For the last fifteen years, she's lived in the wilderness, just out of reach of the Council of Nations. Until one day, poachers--the section of law enforcement tasked with hunting the Unmarked--raid her home and she is forced to go on the run. Weary from the attack, but certainly not broken, she ventures into a dangerous world with only her fiery determination to survive. In what appears to be a stroke of good luck, she is rescued by an underground movement working towards bringing down the capital or die trying. Death over mark, that had always been the mantra. Because the alternative-becoming a mind-controlled soldier to fight the capital's war-was a fate worse than death. ***What other readers are saying about Marked*** "You've done a wonderful job of creating and molding this couple into real people. Now, they practically breathe!" -thebirdwhisperer "This is incredible! I was holding my breath for a second there because everything was so good and the action felt so rea!!!" -titanic123 "I rarely comment as I'm not very good with words. But I have to tell you I enjoyed your book so much. I cried and laughed, bit my nails and rooted the characters on as if they were my family." -leenafrog

**CURRENTLY A FEATURED STORY** highest ranking: #11 in Science fiction ❝true happiness is only achieved without freedom. There is a girl who wakes to a world that she was supposed to protect. Instead, she fights it. There is a man who is cursed with the ability to dream. A glass city is their cage, a city filled to the brim with unanimity and order, a paradise on an earth laid to waste by an artificial snowstorm. Sunlight filters through the glass buildings and through glass walls, pierces glass floors. It illuminates the city square when it is strongest at noon, surrounded by a huddled mass of citizens, all as perfect as the city they inhabit. And they all think: everything is as it should be. And it is. Or, it was. -- long live perfection.❞ (c)sarahgaier2016 #diverselit | #LoveEqualsLove | #helpfightcliches | #freethelgbtq | #badassreads check out my Science Fiction novella, Sector-33, here! https://www.wattpad.com/story/62174094-sector-33

Is it an invasion if they're already here? Six months have passed and Iris and Jonas have reached a conclusion about their future, one that will leave many unhappy. Left alone in the Society by Jonas, Iris finds herself "blackmailed" by Colton when she stumbles in on him. Dying inside, Colton is fed up with being melodramatic. His cousins have had enough. He's the Beta, and it's kind of difficult to intimidate peasants when he's bemoaning his fate in life. When an accidental photo of Vienna with the Prince and Princess of France appears in a newspaper, Colton is determined to have Vienna back, traitor or not. His family's not in charge of him. The Society isn't either. And if they are, he really doesn't care anymore. When Iris (and Bently) discover Colton's plan, Colton forces them to come with him to France so they don't divulge his future whereabouts before he can depart. Once there, Iris finds Erik in a worse state than when she last saw him, while Colton and Vienna. . . well who knows if they'll ever actually get back together. They've got about as many problems as Iris and Erik. Every moment Iris is in France she grows more anxious that Jonas will find out where she is, but when dead bodies start showing up with Expiration Dates tattooed on them, the monarchy forces the Beta to take action, sweeping Iris into a dangerous invasion for Earth amidst the glittering, bewitching lifestyle of the French court.
