This is a story that takes place in the AU. Teddy Lupin grew up not knowing who his parents are. He often thought that they were really gone and never seen him grow up, have a relationship, play Quidditch, everything. However, the ones who really love us, never really leave us. What Teddy doesn't know is that Remus and Tonks are watching over him everyday, through a very special portal up in Heaven. Everyday, they enter the portal into Teddy's life and watch him. The Portal, as we shall call it, is very special. It allows people in Heaven to be able to watch over their loved ones, till they join them. Then they will Ascend. Join Remus, Tonks and many more characters in their wacky adventures as they watch over who they truly love most.

This fanfiction is slow and building, taking time to develop a sense for the characters and their feelings. The plot focuses on Tonks' and Remus' personal lives, their lives working with the Order, and obviously their lives together as they try and figure out their feelings for each other. This fanfiction starts out at the beginning of The Order of The Phoenix and skips over most of the things already told in the book. (e.g. I don't write about Tonks and Harry packing up to go to headquarters, because J.K. wrote that from Harrys perspective in the book.) My sources of course are The Harry Potter books and Pottermore. I have taken some creative license to write about things such as the death of Remus' father, but I make sure everything matches up with what we've learned from Jo. Of course it's not what J.K. has imagined, but if she ever writes anything more on the subject I will edit and expand. If you're more into quick to the point fics, this probably isn't for you.
