" Or the story of an overenthusiastic boy called Phil, who has trouble shutting up, and a reluctantly mute boy called Dan, who's life is falling apart, and how they both come to realise that sometimes - actions can speak louder than words.

"No. The less you care, the lonelier you are." - In a world where people have the ability to flip an emotions switch, many people lack feelings and sympathy in general- including Dan Howell after a tragedy strikes and he can't take it. However, he meets Phil Lester, the outgoing flirt with too big of a heart to handle. The two become close, and Dan soon realizes that even with his switch off, he can't deny that Phil is slowly reaching to turn it back on, and Dan can't seem to push his hand away.

Phil is poetic, Dan is blind. Phil uses his sight to explain Dan's surroundings for him, no matter what weather they're in, even in the downpour. Or, That one phanfiction where Dan's blind and Phil likes to cuddle him and tell him what the rain and city looks like. Also, it's 2 A.M. but neither one of them is complaining.

Young Dan Howell, who lives with his alcoholic father, lost his mother to cancer less than a year ago, and is killing himself.
