I was the 6th-grade "slut." And I kept a diary. So I decided to create The UnSlut Project in the hopes that my own diary entries could provide some perspective to girls who currently feel trapped and ashamed. I am publishing these entries one at a time, without changing a single word except for the names of the people involved. My limited commentary, which is confined to brackets in each entry, is meant to provide the relief of my current perspective, fifteen years later. The UnSlut Project: Working to undo the dangerous slut shaming in our schools, communities, media, and culture by sharing knowledge and experiences.

(Second book of Battle of the Captains) Northwood soccer captains Bryce Jacobs and Maddie Tate have had to share things all their lives- their first soccer ball, their weekly family dinners, the soccer spotlight and now they have to share the field. Having moms who are best friends has basically bound them for life but having a competitive streak makes it hard to be best friends. Despite being tied by the hip their whole childhood, they've grown far about and far more competitive than before. When the girl's soccer team loses their coach, the coach of the boy's team takes them in for the meantime, forcing Bryce and Maddie to play nice like they did as kids, forcing them to be co-captains. They are individual teams, practicing as one, adding to the amount of time they have to spend together and restarting the cycle of sharing between the two. They can work together if they can stop trying to fight the obvious chemistry. But what if they realize that they really are the dream team their parents believed them to be? What if sharing isn't such a bad thing?

"Even from a distance, Nixon Young has an aura of maturity. The way he carries himself, the rolled back of his shoulders, his tall and confident posture, the lazy way his eyes skim his surroundings- it's hard to explain and to formulate into words, but it just shows. All of Nixon Young screams maturity. It's hard to believe this is the guy that tied a live goat to a pole in the gymnasium." xxx Chantelle Géroux thought people like Nixon Young only existed in books and movies. Ever since freshmen year, stories about the legendary Nixon have circulated throughout the student body. Stories about his glorious escape from the cops, of the time he stole a car and promptly almost crashed it, of how he had jumped from one roof of a house to another during a crazy party. For the last three years at Princeton High, Chantelle had listened to the stories, even if they were painfully exaggerated, in awe. She spared small glances at Nixon, taking in his confident smile and loud voice, his blue eyes that sparkled like no others, and tried to understand. Understand how one person could stir such talk among such an easily-distracted group of teenagers. But Chantelle knew how: Nixon Young was simply extraordinary, in a way that simply couldn't be understood. But then junior year came around. Two years of stories full of fascinated stories turn into heated whispers in the hall. Looks of awe when he walks by turn into hurried avoidance. Nixon's easy-going smiles turn into scowls, his fist making a dent in the lockers as he lashes out once more on someone. Nixon Young's personality does a complete 180 degree turn, and no one has any idea why. Eventually, Nixon Young is nowhere to be seen. Until he turns up at Chantelle's doorstep, three weeks after he got kicked out of Princeton High, asking for one hell of a favor.

Socially awkward Ethan Montgomery never expected his freshman year of college to be easy, but he has to admit that even by his low expectations things are getting quite out of hand. Because that’s the way things tend to go when you’re juggling newfound magical powers that seem to have a mind of their own. Accidentally exploding coffee cups, Thanksgiving Day turkeys, lightbulbs, and his disgruntled new roommate Arthur’s best pair of running shoes is only the beginning. Throw girls, wild college parties, gay classmates, and a mysterious organization called The Institution into the mix, and this year is shaping up to be one that Ethan will never forget. Ethan’s life has changed forever… for better or for worse. He soon learns that magic always comes with a price- a price that, in the end, may be too unbearable to pay. *This story is rated PG-13 for college-themed situations, including underage drinking and language.
