After Miu Takami's parents were arrested, the girl discovered a truth that would change her life forever. Her Uncle, Keigo Takami, otherwise known as the pro hero Hawks and the only actual parental figure Miu ever had, saved her from the years of abuse she endured at the hands of her parents. Keigo and the Hero's Public Safety Commission worked together to begin her training to become a hero. However, due a quirk defect that she was discovered to have at age 10, the Safety Commission deemed her a failure and cast her away.
