Everyone thinks that Lance McClain is just a happy flirty teen. He actually puts on that act. He don't want people to know that he is depreesed. Even though he is depressed he wants to get better and doesn't want depression to take over his life. Whilst out on a mission, Lance gets injured and he can no longer speak. Whilst in this condition, everybody seems to ignore him. Lance ends up being depressed and feeling left out but carries on doing his missions. However, his silence leads him to do find out that shiro isn't their shiro at all.
