However, when things began to get awkward with the male students at his school during his senior year, ending with him being jumped in the locker room, he quickly found out that he not only was a shapeshifter, but a special kind which was considered a disgrace to his family. A cross-shifter. The trip to the animal shelter had been planned for quite awhile but work had kept finding its way into the time slot he'd allowed for the trip. Now, with his three year old daughter cheering in the backseat, Richard finally makes his way to the building and finds a parking spot. He expects to find something small that would hopefully take to his daughter and be a friend he sometimes couldn't be when he had long days at work, but something caught his daughter's attention in an off-limits quarantine area that he just couldn't leave behind.

Kirishima's a simple art student who's had his eye on the attractive blonde who frequents the same Starbucks he studies at for a while, though he's too chicken to do anything about his little crush until he accidentally runs into him.
