" I have found in David son of Jesse a man after my heart,who will do all my will." (Acts 13:22) He knew he had something great to do for his people than protecting his father's sheep. He knew he was more than a singing shepherd from Bethlehem. He knew he had a loyal friend in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But what he did not know was that he was chosen among millions to hold on to the reins of Israel, a people Jehovah delivered from brutal slavery and now were rising to a powerful nation. A simple boy who was thought to be the least skillful among his brothers was being moulded into a valiant monarch who would drive Israel in its golden age. God proves once again that in his eyes brighter than a thousand suns, success is not decided by one's physical appearance or what society believes he is, but his courage to hold on to faith in the darkest of times and his determination to prove himself worthy, not to man, but to the supernatural power that governs all creation.
