Regency era, alternative story about Charlotte Heywood and Sidney Parker. Sidney's mother is pushing him to marry and marry well to save the family from ruin. His pursuit is Mrs. Campion, a wealthy widow with a horrible personality. On the verge of asking her to marry him, he goes on a hunting trip to clear his head. What happens on this hunting trip changes his path in life forever. Sidney POV When I first had the idea for this story, I pictured a bear attacking Sidney. But doing research I found that bears are not common wild animals in England. I'm American and live in a state where bears are common. In doing research, I found that in the regency era there were wild cats that were referred to as phantom cats, panthers, jaguars, or leopards. Although, some accounts claim there is no such thing and stories were exaggerated. Anyway, for story purposes, this phantom cat exists. I know it may not sound realistic, but as I said before, there were stories about these wild cats in some of my research. I also came across stories of the aristocratic and higher class bringing these exotic animals to England to show off and look grander to others. It reminded me of someone purchasing a dog as a puppy, thinking it'll be great. Then months later realizing these cute puppies grow up and destroy your home and chew everything up. I pictured a rich woman insisting she have one of these pure black cats on one of her many voyages to far off lands and her rich husband buying her the exotic animal. Then as this cat grew and suddenly the realization that it's a wild animal and could potentially kill someone, these high society people may just decide to let the animal go in the woods to fend for himself. Now this cat is alone in a land he doesn't belong and trying to survive, perhaps resenting man for the cruel way he was treated. Now I feel sorry for the panther. Anyway, that's the backstory on the panther and why it may be in a place it's not supposed to be.

Willingden, two weeks later: Lady Susan is taking matters in hand, inviting Charlotte to London, because: "In love and in war, a first defeat never indicates what the final outcome will be." But even in London, all roads lead back to Sanditon and Sidney Parker, and soon enough, Charlotte finds herself back to sea-bathing, cliff top walks and Lady Denham's luncheon parties. With Mrs Campion's wedding just a few days away, can true love prevail when a farmer's daughter who reads books is up against the wealthiest widow in the country?

Deepdive into Sidney and Charlotte as they fall in love and a CONTINUATION beyond the screen ending. A re-telling and continuation of Sanditon (PBS/ITV) expanding on the thoughts and feelings of Charlotte and Sidney. Of course going beyond the heart-wrenching screen ending. This is the Sanditon book as I want it to be. To my delighted surprise the story won the category 'Other' in the Sanditon Survival book club's (Facebook group for Sanditon lovers) '2020 Sanditon Fanfiction Awards'. This is a fan fiction based on Sanditon (Jane Austen / Andrew Davies) exploring Sidney Parker's time in Antigua. In this continuation of the popular but abruptly ended TV show, Sidney is required to return to Antigua with his ward, Georgiana Lambe, thus delaying his impending wedding to Eliza Campion. The story follows Sidney and Georgiana's developing relationship and the time they spend together in Antigua, as well as Charlotte Heywood's progress back in England. Will fate, human endeavour or the vagaries of human nature allow them to be reunited once more?

Sanditon shocked everyone with the ending, and many writers write their own version to continue this story. I'm not a writer, I'm just so impressed by this story, that I decided to write my own version of the sequel. The story immediately begins from the moment Charlotte left, and for the beginning I tried to imagine how Eliza's relationship with Sidney and all his families, including Georgiana, would develop, and what exactly would be the impetus for Sidney to decide to change the situation. Maybe it turned out more romantic, than I expected, but it seems to me, that in the last episode, we saw such powerful emotions and feelings in Sidney , that it gives me reason to think, that he would be ready to turn the whole world for Charlotte's sake, which I tried to show in my story. I added some of my illustrations, I hope you will like them
