America, and South Korea are miles away from each other, separated by the Pacific Ocean. The two countries were both developed but still starkly different from one another. Minho's whole purpose for coming to America was to assimilate to American culture and learn how Americans existed in their day-to-day lives as they were going to be crossing over into the American market with SHINee's next album. He was going to spend the next year away from the others, in a place he had never been to before, having to be around people he never met, in a culture and way of life he wasn't quite accustomed to.
