She sighed again then pulled up her sleeve and held out her arm. "Wh- what happened? talk to me, Kris." "Last night when I got home, my mother and her boy toy-" A deep growl rumbled in my chest when I heard "boy toy" "Did he hurt you?!" I carefully unwrapped the bandages and see the lacerations and bruises. My anger boiled inside of me. "My mother was drunk and we had a spat... she backhanded me and left the bruise..." "And these?" Motioning to the cuts. I could feel my wolf fighting for control. But I had to suppress him. "I did it... I broke the bottle she held and the glass cut me." I sighed and carefully wrapped up her hand and pulled her close hugging her tightly, rubbing her side gently. "This is why you didn't come to school... you didn't want me to see you like this..." I felt her tiny frame collapse into mine as she sobbed. I held her closer rubbing her back letting her cry into my chest. "Don't cry, I'm here I'm here. Shhhhh."

This book is so awfully written, I'm embarrassed. The relationship is toxic and evil and I've been working on rewriting this story. As soon as I have it rewritten, I'm gonna take it down and put it back up. It's gonna be the same concept but I'm gonna fix plot holes and make it a little healthier.
