"As we all carried on, there was the sound of footsteps entering the restaurant. Finally, a customer I thought to myself. It had already been an hour of the day and no one new had come in, and as much as I love the company I had, it was a bit boring. As we all looked up to greet the customer, we realised this person really was new. I had never seen him before, and I knew practically everyone around here, even if I just knew the face. This face though... Was different." ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• When you think you have life figured out prematurely, it's a no brainier that trying to play God ain't gonna work. Marsh is a mage detective on the verge of losing his powers. His world is a rough mix of something like the Dresden files with cyberwear, elves, trolls, computers, and artificial intelligence. A beautiful woman visits Marsh with a case, and his assistant forces him to take the case. Problem is, Marsh has alcoholic blackouts. He can't remember the details of the case, or for that matter, the name of the person involved. All he knows is a dragon is attacking him, he's wanted by the police, and ... well, you get the idea. This case will either get him killed or be the turning point in his "career" as a mage detective.

A star-faring religious cult has created an army of robotic zealots designed to follow holy scripture. As the robotic menace spreads across the galaxy, it takes prisoners to be 'excommunicated': hooked into a neural simulation of eternal torment. Captain Rolland Barron leads the Sol Federation Starship Excalibur on a diplomatic mission. Cassia LaCroix is a wormhole hunter, earning a living scouring the galaxy for valuable tunnels through space-time. Prince Zoojin, a psychic alien from a distant galaxy, must prove himself worthy of the throne of Paxis Prime. The paths of these characters converge as they pursue their own motives, leading them towards the mechanical legion that is sweeping across the galaxy. COVER BY: rentachi AUTHOR'S NOTE: this is an early draft of the novel. I am very grateful for your readership and your feedback, which I have taken into consideration for a major rewrite. The new novel is completely different. If you liked the book, then please look forward to the release of the finished novel.
