A darker shade. A darker life. A darker heart. | SEQUEL TO BLUE | His eyes were cold, she turned them warm, but then she left, and their iciness returned. This time, it isn't a bright and obvious ice in his blue orbs, it's an obscure darkness - where a sick and threatening pain lay involuntarily behind them. He was a troubled boy, she helped him, but then she left, and his difficulties returned. Now, it isn't being called into the principal's office twice a day, or stealing a car every now and then, it's beating up an innocent man on the streets, it's forgetting his family, it's intentionally hurting HER. His heart was frozen, she thawed it, but then she left, and its stone slates returned. Before, he showed no emotion, just a hard expression that could make anyone feel intimidated if they received it. Now with his hard heart, he doesn't just show no emotion, but he executes every single one of his feelings into violence. His blue turned sapphire.

A reflection. Do you like yours, love yours or hate yours? There's many people in this world who dislike theirs, not because of the physicality that they see in a mirror, but because they know what's lurking behind the eyes that stare. So much can be seen in yourself from your own pair of eyes, things that others don't seem to see. Do you know why that is? That's because no one knows you better than you know yourself. A pair of eyes could seem so kind, warm and innocent to the world, but only yourself could know the true darkness behind them. There's one person in this world who knows exactly what I'm talking about. He knows the infuriating, angering feeling of the painful suffering he experiences when his own eyes meet his reflection's. Deadly, severe, menacing: is what he sees. Everyone who looks into them simply see a bright pair of ocean eyes. Blue. That's all they see. But only himself knows he's drowning in the tidal waves of their deep ocean. And no one cares enough to notice, to help, or to save. Until her. She used to think fire was more murderous than ice. Little did she know, that would all change at first glance. She saw the eyes, she noticed their blue, she stared for a second too long, and now she knows that there's no going back. He'll claim her. ~If I take a step away from him, he takes a step closer to me. If I run, he'll find his way back.~ ~I'm trying my goddamned hardest to not act on the ache I'm feeling to place my lips on hers, just to have a little taste, because I don't want to appear as some sex-driven teenage boy who just wants to claim her body.
