This is a soulmate mark/college AU, where Hope never went to the Salvatore School, and never met the super squad. The rest of Hope's childhood was basically canon, but Klaus is alive and he is a very overprotective dad. It's Hope's 18th birthday and she gets her very special soulmate mark, but that's not the only thing happening on her big day. She starts to have recurring dreams about a strange figure with flaming wings. Hope and the twins are the same age in this story, the twins are a couple months older.

Naruto realizes his feelings for Hinata as he spends more time with her but puts them aside. War being right around the corner, he couldn't help but grimace at his decision to confess to her when it was announced and didn't think it was appropriate when everyone is so stressed about it. Naruto does not remember that Hinata confessed to him at all. Childhood traumas further prevent him from expressing his feelings. Hinata, meanwhile is saddened that Naruto doesn't remember her confession but decides to not bring it up. Protecting herself from further embarrassment. When the war was announced she distracted herself by getting stronger. Harry won't admit it, but he really wishes he was in Gryffindor, so he could be in the same house as his crush, but also because Gryffindor just looked better in his eyes.
