"He's a bad boy. He's bad news" Abigail Antonias was warned as soon as she entered her fourth high school that a particular boy named Nathaniel Reece was the definition of a bad boy, and is best to just avoid. But that just made Abigail's curiousity peak. What could be so 'Bad' about him? And sometimes, the worst decisions are the best ones. (Note: Not totally cliche, believe me)

Growing up in the time of HIV and AIDS seems to be the understatement for this book. When fourteen year old Nicole Pierce meets high school playboy Vic Owens, everything seems “perfect” until his true colors begin to show. Blinded by love, lust, and a fairy tale image of her future life with a powerful drug lord, Nicole’s life spirals out of control; Experimenting with things she’d never fathomed she’d try, turning on friends and family members, unplanned pregnancies and domestic violence seems to be the tone and story of her life. That is, until she gets the courage to escape from Vic only to meets her knight in shining armor, Justin Martin. Things seem great with Justin, but like all good things, it slowly comes to an end. Tragedy turns to triumph in this twisted tale of a young girl trying to live right in the eyes of others while still trying to hang on to her Christianity.
