She wasn't sure, exactly, how it had happened. One minute, she was herself, Rose Wilson, trained by her father to hunt down the people who killed her brothers. An emotionless, heartless assassin. The next, she was the Ravager, servant of the Light and suddenly head over heels for Kaldur'ahm. She knew her father made a deal with Vandal Savage for their servitude, she remembered that much. What she couldn't understand was the thought of an assassin, such as herself, falling in love. Well, the idea wasn't impossible. Her father had her, Joey, and Grant all at some point, didn't he? But Deathstroke promised Rose when he trained her that he would stomp all emotions but the hatred for the HIVE out of her. Anything more or less would distract her from her mission of revenge. And yet, there was something about Kaldur'ahm that made her think about him constantly. His piercing eyes, his fierce loyalty to his father- so much like her own- the fit of his suit, his strong leadership, and perhaps, the way his moral compass seemed to spin about like a leaf in a hurricane, just like her own. Lorena is torn between two worlds: her strange new abilities bring her to Atlantis, but her mannerisms and lack of magical aptitude mark her apart from everyone there, and those same new abilities prevent her from continuing her life in San Diego as normal. Kaldur'ahm is torn between two duties: his duty to Atlantis, his home, and his king, and his duty to his new friends and team of heroes that rely on him for leadership. Only Lorena and Kaldur really understand each other's plight. They're really the only people who will listen to each other. Lorena teaches him about his new home in the surface world, and Kaldur teaches her about her new life in Atlantis, and they both stick up for each other. Lorena is finally able to join Kaldur's team, and she's ecstatic, at least until she is approached by Ocean Master, who offers to help her discover more about her powers.

After the invasion of the Reach was over La'gaan is still having trouble over his break up with M'gann. He's angry and doesn't know how to get over it. He spends most of his time alone now and everyone is noticing. Kaldur'ahm, Aqualad, tries to talk to him but it seems that even he can't get through to him. He was just plain angry. During one of his swims La'gaan past by an aquarium that looked out towards the ocean, but it wasn't the fish that caught his eye. Swimming with the fish was a girl who seemed to be at home, even though she wasn't an Atlantean. The two talk and Soon start a relationship, but there's something this girl has left out. Jessica Lake is suppose to be dead. Jessica was brought back by the power of dark Atlantean magic. Brought back to help get rid of the King of Atlantis, Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman or King Orin. The ones who brought her back was the disgraced Ocean Master and the Sea Witch Ursula, but what's their connection with Jessica? She's nothing more then a surface dweller, or is she?
