After Tony took Peter's suit away, he comes home to find his aunt dead on the floor. After she died from a heart attack, he has to find somewhere to go. He can't go to Mr. Stark, not after all that, the only option is an old friend, who he was still in touch with, but he'd have to leave everything behind, he could still go back to New York for Spiderman, but can't live there. And now Spider-Man is benched, considering he is underage and now at a orphanage. Steve and Tony had been looking for a child to share their life with for a long while now. They both wanted someone... similar to themselves. Spideypool later most likely.

After Homecoming, Peter Parker thought he got his life back on track from being an ordinary high school kid and a superhero. He was dead wrong. Tony and Steve are searching for a new addition to the family. A child to adopt. They search amongst the orphanages trying to find the right one. Enter Peter Parker. A 15 year old boy without any hope of being adopted. Seeing the fact that no one wants a kid who's already that old. Being the oldest in the orphanage isn't really the most amazing thing either.
