The four years that Lydia Deetz spent living on the streets of New York before broke her to the point of knowing she had no choice but to call on a ghoulish poltergeist. This is the story of the four years she was on her own. While this story is mostly about Lydia and is told through her perspective, it will also include segments from Betelgeuse's perspective and what his life, or afterlife rather, was during the four years after he saved the Maitlands from exorcism. This story will contain mature elements that may be triggering to some people including abuse, homelessness, and self-harm.

Lydia is determined to ignore Beetlejuice and his playful mischievous antics when she finally gets her antipsychotics refill delivered and takes an overdue shower. After watching a movie, she decides to pleasure herself without a sex toy this time because Beetlejuice has a habit of killing them in the middle of her climax. She feels frustrated and grumpy but eventually gets off and involuntarily moans his name three times without realizing it until after she's calmed down from her high.

At first he's surprised to find out that she owns a pet, but is shortly shocked that she can also see, hear, talk to, and touch him when she gets home. Surely she'd have to summon him for that to work, right? Guess anything is possible for both parties the third time around.
