The overall reception of fifth and final book in the selection series has been less than satisfactory. Many would say this is due to it feeling rushed and I dare say the majority of Selectioners felt Eadlyn ended up with the wrong person. In this alternate ending which jumps in right after Hale leaves in Chapter 29 but right before she goes to propose to Kile, Eadlyn gets a visit from her mother that sets her thoughts on a course she realizes she should have been on all along.

I am a total Maxerica shipper so read the whole thing before giving up one me. Queen Amberlys first miscarriage never happened. Leaving Maxon with an older brother to become king and have a selection. America is chosen for the selection, but America being her rebellious self falls for the king Prince rather then the handsome soon to be king.
