"Please. No no! I can't take anymore. Just let me go. I won't tell anyone. I promise. Please." I beg. As streams of tears roll down my face. Landing on the concrete floor. He just ignores me. As he walks from the wooden table on the far side of the room. Back to my helpless tied up body. With some type of pliers resting in his tightly closed hand. He is now standing in front of me. Towering over my small shaking frame. Smirking down at me. Causing a shiver to run down my spine. He grabs my left hand in a tight grip. I try to pull it back. But his grip is just too strong. He takes the pliers. Tightly gripping one of my fingernails with them. "No, you don't have to do this! Please don't? I'm begging you! Please!" Pain began as he started pulling back on the pliers. The pain growing with every second. Then a loud cracking sound. And unbearable pain spread throughout my whole hand. Shooting up my arm. I scream out in agonizing pain. As I watch red crimson blood fill the place were my nail used to be. I begin to sob even harder. When I see him move the pliers to the next nail. IS THIS EVER GOING TO END!!!

****Originally titled "The Foster Kid"**** After years of torture, pain, and abuse, 15-year-old Jayden Winston is chosen to be fostered by Regina and Ethan Duncan. Will he learn to love his new foster family, or cause havoc and pain for them? "Well, his mother committed suicide by drug overdose when he was four years old. Her reason was because her husband abused her as well as Jayden. But he treated Jayden worse than he did his wife. Jayden was violated and molested many times. When Jayden was eight years old he finally told someone and his father was put into prison." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I always wanted to have many kids when I'm older, but I also don't want to go through the pain and risks of pregnancies. So I told myself I would foster and adopt. Not only babies and small children but older ones, such as Jayden, who find it hard to find a home because of they're age or their background. I want to be the one to give damaged teenagers a good home and show them the good side of the world that they have probably not seen yet. I want to dedicate this book to my future foster kid, who may be alive right now. And I think about it all the time. Praying for them, because I know what a life like that can do to a person.

'A librarian by day and a mechanic by night huh?' A slightly familiar feminine voice spoke behind me. Choosing to ignore her and continue with my work, I walked towards the trolley where the pile of books I was meant to shelve was sitting. Hearing the little footsteps following me in a slightly hurried manner as if to keep up with my pace. You'd think by my choice to ignore her previous statement that she would get the message that I don't want to talk. Once I stopped at the trolley the footsteps went around the trolley so the person was opposite me. I decided to look down only to be met by curious forest green eyes looking up at me. Urgh not her again. Is she stalking me? ~~~ When a boy who hides his troubles under a mask of isolation and is the loner of the school meets a girl who's the epitome of sunshine. At least that's what everyone thinks, she has a secret and he wants nothing to do with it, I mean who would believe the loner. He wants nothing to do with her either or so he thinks. Their worlds collide and things get a little tricky. Will she help the boy fix his troubles, teaching him love or will they lead each other to a destruction none of them saw coming?
