Winter falls on Camelot. It falls to Merlin to keep Arthur company as the search for Morgana becomes increasingly desperate. 6000 words, Merlin/Arthur. Set in the break between series 2 & 3. I had to make a judgement call on whether we’re dealing with Yule or Christmas in this Merlin verse. I went with Yule (there was reasoning, but I won’t bore you with it). Chapter beginnings taken from Doubt Comes In, by Anais Mitchell, from my favourite album this year Hadestown (it’s a folk opera about Orpheus and Eurydice - so that’s the very definition of not for everyone but its weird and creepy and awesome)

Only Arthur prevents him going to the headman's axe straight away, but Arthur alone cannot save him. That is up to both of them. Pairing: Merlin/Arthur This is set some time after season 1 of BBC's Merlin. It was originally written for the Merlin Big Bang on Livejournal in 2009.

Merlin, from day one, has had to hide his magic. How could he be himself, if admitting to practising sorcery would get him killed? Arthur has always been fond of his manservant. But how could he truly come to terms with his feelings for him, if by doing so, he'd be going against the traditions and laws of Camelot, and his father? ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Dedicated, with all my love, to Darya2m

Merlin really was the court idiot. Was this what the Dragon had meant by halves of a whole? (I don't own anything.)

In an AU LGBTQ+ accepting Camelot, anybody can love anybody. King Arthur throws a Ball to try and find a romantic companion among his kingdom to make his Queen or King Consort. His manservant Merlin is overrun with chores, but finds a way to attend, though he's too embarrassed to go as himself. In disguise he sets a fire in Arthur's heart, who must discover the identity of the mysterious masked man. (I do not own the characters or the photo used for the cover)

There are some things that are just not supposed to happen, some wrongs which should not occur--these are the things Merlin knows he and Arthur were brought into existence to prevent. Then of course there are also certain things that would make everything better if they happened, and folly or stupidity has stopped them from occurring--Merlin likes to put these back on track as well. Arthur calls that part meddling. Harry Potter finds himself in the middle of both. AU from the scene on the Astronomy Tower at the end of Half Blood Prince, and leaving out the unsatisfactory ending for BBC Merlin as well. Rated Mature for sexual content in later chapters (not violence).

Merlin is left in charge to care for his own kingdom, Aeyland. While in the midst in the course of events, Merlin's mind is a blank slate-all memories of Arthur now washed away. Things are going smoothly, until Merlin gets a sudden sense, rushing to a certain lake. There, Arthur rises. Merlin has no idea who the 'stranger' is, and why he was called upon his awakening. And Arthur realizes he'll have to start over with Merlin, hoping those drained memories will make an appearance once again. He just doesn't know if Merlin will ever be the same way again. [Completed] [The Sequel To "Crossfire"] (I do not own BBC Merlin)
