Their father looked at him unalarmed at his outburst. "No." He said, no longer entertained by the matter not that he shown he was before. Just him replying to Five was enough for everyone to feel shocked. "But I'm ready. I've been practicing my spatial jumps, just like you said." Five argued appearing beside their father. "See?" He gestured to himself as proof. Reginald didn't even look up from his plate, unamazed with Five's gift. "A spatial jump is trivial when compared with the unknowns of time travel. One is like sliding along the ice, the other is akin to descending blindly into the depths of the freezing water and reappearing as an acorn." Reginald said waving a hand. Everyone went back to their meals and Five looked angrily at them before locking eyes with Y/n, who gave him a pleading look. She hoped he would just sit down before the situation escalated. "Well, I don't get it." Five mumbled. "Hence the reason you're not ready." Reginald replied. "I'm not afraid." Five countered. "Fear isn't the issue. The effects it might have on your body, even on your mind, are far too unpredictable. Now, I forbid you to talk about this anymore." Reginald said turning to Five. Five shook his head before turning to run. "Number Five!" Y/n quickly stood going after him. "Number Eight!"

A baby's cry pierces the air as the midwife passes the baby to the awaiting hands of the father. Damon happily takes the baby from her hands holding her close to his chest not worried about the blood most likely staining his clothes. As quickly as the moment began it was lost, Damon was pushed out of the small room the baby still in his hands. "Stop! Wait! What's going on?" Damon yells trying to get back into the room. That's when he gets a look into the room noticing the many midwives rushing around attaching things to his wife lying on the bed, covered in blood and sweat from just giving birth. "Ruby! Ruby!" Damon yells over the loud cries of the baby in his arms. Damon stops yelling the shock to great. He hears the midwife's declare her dead, the blood loss to severe.
