A transfer from a state school, John pushes open the door of Room 22 to find the most crucial part of his life he never knew existed; a teenage boy with the mind of a philosopher, who just so happens to be able to precisely analyse every detail of John's life, whilst being able to piss everyone else off at the exact same time.

In this AU of Sherlock, John is a merman who is trapped in a lake nearby the university where Sherlock attends. One day they meet and both their lives are changed forever.

It all started with a trip. Sherlock had been acting weird, and everyone thought he was just stressed, so he and John go on a trip to Fiji. Yet, what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation from the stresses of detective work only opened the door for much more stress and confusion when John begins to have strange feelings around his colleague, Sherlock Holmes. And Sherlock is still acting strange.

But he needs John, and John needs him. Now they are solving the biggest crimes to rock the school, dealing with their feelings for each other, and putting up with teenage girls and hormones. It is certainly going to be an interesting year.
