• ON HIATUS • Midoriya Izuku attracted trouble. It was just a fact of life - the sky was blue, the grass was green, and Izuku constantly found himself in an absurd number of deadly situations. He was okay with that. Mortal peril was an average Tuesday afternoon for a Pro Hero like him. Being kidnapped was practically a holiday. Saving civilians as a building collapsed around him was easier than facing his worried mum afterwards. He had dealt with All Might's disappointed dad stare and only cried for two hours afterwards. A serial killing villain with an unknown Quirk would be no problem! ...but even Izuku had to admit that being sent back in time to his first day at UA wasn't on the agenda. Still, there was no-one more spitefully determined than him - he was going to make the most of it. Yeah, good luck, heroes and villains alike! Being able to see things no one has ever, is not great. Izuku-a boy who just wants to live a normal life and become a hero-is cursed to see things he doesn't want to have anything to do with. He never asked to be Champion of Death, but he's stuck with the title. So he's cursed, quirkless, the main target of a murderer, and going to become a hero no matter what. Wait, a target? Well, that's nice to know. Let's just add villains into the fray, yes? Because that's what he needs. More trouble. He's just cursed to be a protagonist. ⚠️Has triggering elements such as murder and descriptive depictions of corpses. Deals with implications of suicide and bad thoughts. Izuku had always thought he was quirkless, so he wonders why after he jumped off the roof top, he awakes up to class just in time for Bakugou to torment him and say the exact same words that drove Izuku to jumping off anyways, so he does it again and finds himself at the same predicament "Congratulations Izuku, your quirk is that you can't properly kill yourself, yaaaay" He said groggily ( a lot of suicide attempts and maybe some gorey situations, also swearing ) ( Story turns lighthearted halfway through don't worry ) ( a lot of ship teasing But I'm not planning to make any ship official in this fic just a lot of shameless ship tease )

Izuku doesn't receive One for All from All Might. Despite being told he can't be a hero Izuku decides he's going to try anyway. How far will Izuku go in order to achieve his goal of being a hero?

His heroic will. He was a natural born Hero, yet he was the weakest in this world of Quirks. Perseus 'Percy' Jackson, was a hero from 300 years ago, a demigod son of Poseidon turned God, he had defeated rouge Gods, Titans, Giants and even primordial Deities, specifically 4 primordial Deities, Gaea, Tartarus, Nyx and Erebus, the strongest deities in the world. After betrayal by the demigods the Gods immortalised their ultimate Hero, joining their council as the 15th Olympian, and that's how it stayed. Until the incident... (I will try to keep everything like how it is in the anime and books but it may be difficult, like after 300 years Percy had to of taken some personalities to the Gods so please understand if he's more arrogant and the like. He's spent to much time with his uncle Zeus...) (OP!Deku Quirk!Deku)

Hisashi Midoriya, or more notably "All For One" has made a terrible mistake in his plan for One For All's eventual descent. He let his emotions get in the way of his goal. Now he tries to gain back what he has lost to the light. His son. Izuku Midoriya. (All for One Izuku)

Izuku thought he was quirkless however he did have a quurk. His quirk is called Power Of Will. If Izuku's will is strong enough it will prevent him from dieing and give all his stats a massive boost. However one day durring his training Izuku is hit by a massive ball of energy and his quirk not only saves him but ot also gives him a new power long thought to be nothing but a fairytail. Izuku obtains Ultra Instincts. With this power Izuku tries to get into U.A but since Ultra Instincts isn't a quick and no one knows about Power of Will (including Izuku) U.A turns him down. With out U.A how can Izuku become a hero. Wait Izuku doesn't want to be a hero he just wants to help people. So Izuku decides to become a Vigilant and help people that way.

So.... I released a story with the same name, but I decided to scrap it. So this time, it's pretty much the same concept but with different characters.

Growing up Quirkless really takes a toll on someone in a society full of unique special abilities known as quirks. He never got to have a friend because of that defect. But when confronting a "shooting star." A single wish is made. I wish for a Friend.

UPDATE: A Diamond in the Rough is Moving to Archive of Our Own (Ao3)! Hey everyone! A Diamond in the Rough is in the current stages of being rewritten and moved to Ao3 for a new, updated version of the story! Thank you all for your patience, I'll update you all on the new story once it's done! The original story will be kept on Wattpad but it will receive no new updates and such. It looks like Izuku Midoryia does have a quirk! He can compress anything into diamonds using his mothers pressure and dads fire quirk! A perfect (and somewhat op) combination! Throughout the story a lot of things change about Izuku. You'll just have to read and see.
