Venn didn't have your normal life. He had been orphaned at a young age. He had been taken in by a group of homeless people and raised to survive on the streets. He had paid for his first two years of high school himself. But even he didn't expect that a plane flight to his new transfer school would land him in a place full of strange creatures. He didn't expect to come face-to-face with a being that had helped shape a civilization that died out. Despite everything being so outlandishly weird, Venn can't help but ask himself why everything here is so familiar to him... This is my first ever story on Wattpad, so bear with me if it seems inconsistent or just plain garbage at some parts. This is a learning experience for me. Kyle was just a teen looking for new start, looking for new place to call home and with his new job and school he thinks that he has found just what he is looking for. A story, you say? Well, I know a few of those. Some of them are about me, and some of those are even true. This one's one of my favorites. It's how I came to be the Absol I am today. Perhaps he could come to term with these irrational fears, before something goes awry...

Humankind is naturally curious, it's undeniable. There are few things humans are absolutely certain of, but there are a few related to the lightless places. 1. No one enters the caves. They haven't for as long as anyone can remember. It's against the Rules, in every family: You don't go near the caves, much less in them. 2. Nothing lives in the caves. Underground is a dangerous place, and without light, nothing can grow. Nothing can thrive. Nothing smart, anyway. Humans are not rodents, that's for sure. 3. There are no monsters. There were rumors and fables, but they have sent drones to investigate. Sure, none of them have come back, but so what? The caves are plenty hazardous, with their unstable terrain. The drones just ran into those... right? The darkness scares them. Since the beginning of time, they've been afraid of any place they can't see the sky. But there are always outliers. A few lack the species-wide fear of dark, enclosed spaces. Humankind is naturally curious, after all. So maybe those few wander off, for their miscellaneous reasons. Maybe they find that darkness inviting. Maybe they learn something they were never supposed to know.

So even though Spirit told you a story, you want one out of me? Well, I have a handful. Many of them are about me, many of them aren't. All of them, though, are true. There's one that I keep close to my heart. It's about how I am who I am today, how I met Spirit, in fact. I never expected to be a part of that story, but Fate plays a wicked game, even if sometimes it is kind in a way. If my memory serves me well enough, then my tale begins similar to how Spirit's does, but instead a few weeks prior to his, and instead of running down the mountain's slopes, I was roaming Coronet's caverns... [This is an alternate telling of A Spirit's Journey, through the eyes of another and with a few elements of my own.
