At the age of four, Katsuki was cast aside by his parents and forced into the foster system because he was cursed with an unfortunate Quirk-Explosion-which happens to have negative connotations to it due to a villain in the past. His parents aren't the only ones who rejected him because of it, though; he's grown up without friends, with teachers and peers looking at him in fear no matter how hard they tried to hide it, and while he'd like to say he enjoyed being so lonely, that wasn't the case. Fortunately (though he might say otherwise if you asked, at least at first), one set of bright red eyes somehow managed to see past his Quirk and his rather abrasive attitude and can relate to him on a level he never expected. Years in the future, however, things aren't all sunshine and rainbows-in fact, they're far from it. Katsuki knows this, and no longer can he allow himself to drag the only person he's ever truly cared about through the mud with him.

Katsuki Bakugou was born and raised in The Outskirts, a slum city of thousands upon thousands of people living in poverty, abandoned and ignored by the royal family for decades. Hundreds are on the brink of starvation, and with winter closing in, the risk of hypothermia and death is higher than ever. Angered by the fact that as citizens the slum-dwellers aren't given what they rightfully deserve as human beings, Katsuki decides to take matters into his own hands and take what they should be given to begin with, and the only sure place that has plenty of what they need is the royal palace itself. But what happens when Katsuki is caught, and forced to be supervised by none other than the prince himself, who's seemingly much too infatuated by the phenomenon of soulmates? --- The original description didn't save so here's a crappier one, yay :-) --- This is more or less an experiment and whether or not this story stays/continues depends on reader response, so please give me your feedback! ♥ --- Soulmate au Yes, the title is from Chlorine by Twenty One Pilots.

Boarding school is bullshit. High School is bullshit, and Bakugou Katsuki wants nothing to do with it. Doesn't give a shit about grades or homework or any of that crap, and is more than tired of the damn principal breathing down his neck every second of the day. And to add a cherry on top of a the shit sundae that is high school, he gets reassigned rooms and ends up with a way-too-fucking enthusiastic Hair-for-Brains idiot who's probably got the biggest, dumbest smile he's ever seen. Of-fucking-course. ~ Kirishima's always been happy to meet people and make new friends. Needless to say, he's ecstatic when he's informed that he's &lt;i&gt;finally&lt;/i&gt; getting assigned a roommate after a month of living alone in a dorm room. He's more than happy to welcome his new roommate with a smile and help him out with anything he needs.
