Valadhiel is not only the daughter of dragons, but she is also part elf, and she is capable of skin-changing, despite the fact that both of her parents were dragons. The redhead has had a rough past, but she chooses to be as joyful as she can manage. Sometimes she cannot help the depressed and lonely feelings she gets, but she is often rather cheerful- despite having a temper- and she chooses to keep herself busy by helping others, as well as serving those who cannot fight for themselves. One day, Gandalf finds her in the Barrow-Downs, working on a quest she accepted from one of the women in the town of Bree. He asks her to join Thorin, Son of Thrain, Son of Thror, on a mission to reclaim the the Lonely Mountain from the dragon, Smaug. After thinking on it, she agrees to go along with him, despite the fact she desperately doesn't want the dwarves to find out who she really is. After all, would any dwarf ever accept a dragon? Join Valadhiel on this journey through Middle-Earth as she begins to make unexpected friendships, meets an unknown relative, and becomes part of an unlikely relationship. Daughter Of Dragons: A Hobbit Fanfiction is Book 1 in the Daughter Of Dragons Middle-Earth Fanfiction series.

Talia Rue Ashenstone had known Thorin Oakenshield all of her life. From running around the halls of Erebor in their youth to running into battle, they had always been the closest of friends, always at each other's side. But when life turned sour for the dwarves and the wounds inflicted throughout their lives piled high, they knew that some things just wouldn't heal. And no matter how deep their love for one another grew, they were heavily burdened people, beaten down for every last breath they took in the harsh world. But those two... They would always fight back. This is a Fanfiction following the adventures of Thorin Oakenshield prior to and during J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, the Hobbit. Speech therapist Josephine Asharm has been brought into Erebor to work with Bifur, but trying to find her place among people who eye her suspiciously would be difficult enough under normal circumstances, but when Sophie finds herself caught between the king, his most trusted lieutenant, and the dwarf she's there to help? She's certain no good can come of it. Thorin only agreed to allow Sophie to live amongst them out of a sense of duty to Bifur, who is recovering from an odd head injury (is there any other way to describe having an axe blade lodged in one's head, only to have it later dislodged during the Battle of the Five Armies?) Before the battle, he spoke only khuzdul. But since it? He's regained the ability to speak Westron-if only he could but remember any of it. As for Thorin? He's trying his damndest to ignore his own growing feelings for her, even as he is also recovering from his near fatal wounding in the same battle. Both Sophie and Thorin are haunted by their pasts and are uncertain of their futures, but sometimes, chances must be taken...

Thorin Oakenshield has a guardian angel of sorts, only he doesn't know it. Yet. After breaking up a fight between Thorin and another man, Seren Gilwynn vowed to watch over the dwarf prince for the rest of her days. She never thought both Dale and Erebor were on the threshold of being destroyed by Smaug the dragon, with dwarves and men scattered about Middle Earth. Bounced from place to place, Seren has learned everything she could about weapons and fighting, with her promise to keep watch always in the back of her mind. And when she finally tracks Thorin down, she fully intends to keep that promise. Thorin, however, has different plans. He is on his way to the town of Bree, in search of his own father, Thráin, who has been missing for years. When he stumbles headlong into an assassination attempt, he is grateful for the boy who appeared as if from nowhere who comes to his aid. He has no idea that boy is the same little girl from Dale, all grown up now. He also has no idea that the boy he sees as a pest will soon become everything to him.

When exiled Elf Ariel Greenleaf is found unconscious just beyond the borders of Mirkwood by the Company, they are ready to dispatch her without hesitation. It isn't until their leader, Thorin Oakenshield convinces them that she could be a powerful bargaining chip in their quest to reclaim Ereborn. For Ariel, being the dwarves' prisoner is only slightly better than succumbing to the elements beyond her home. But, that doesn't mean she is grateful to them or even willing to help. After all, dwarves and elves are enemies and dwarves cannot possibly be trusted. Especially Thorin Oakenshield. But fate has a way of turning enemies into something far more complicated. And for Ariel and Thorin, neither is prepared for the turn fate has in store for them. **note, I'm rather new to the world of Tolkien, so please be patient as I especially have a hard time keeping the dwarves all straight (except for Thorin, of courese :). ) This story takes place prior to the events of The Hobbit

The proud, stubborn dwarf challenges her to no end, and in return, she works him until he swears revenge. But along the way, she realizes there is more to the King Under the Mountain than meets the eye, and as they come to know one another, she becomes more determined to break down his walls and bring some happiness into his life. But, while Azog the Defiler is gone, another has taken his place and like his predecessor, has vowed to end the line of Durin for once and for all, and just might be successful in shattering the fragile peace Thorin and Amara find in each other's arms.

Arielle Farran has no business being a valet to anyone, let alone to Thorin Oakenshield, but she really has no choice. Her twin brother, Elen was actually supposed to take the position, only to have a serious injury throw a wrench into the works and lands them in serious financial straits. Either she pretends to be him, or they lose the only home they've ever known. Reluctantly, Arielle agrees and shows up at Erebor's gates as Elen and from the moment she meets the King Under the Mountain, she knows she's in trouble. It's only a matter of time before she gets caught, she just knows it. Thorin doesn't really want a valet, but his sister Dis has decided otherwise and since it's easier to give in than fight with her, a valet will soon be his. But when he meets Elen Farran, he senses something isn't quite as it should be where he's concerned. But, since he can't just outright accuse Elen of playing false without any proof, Thorin decides to play along until Elen comes clean of his own volition.
