Daniel James Howell has a typical teenage life, with the acceptation of a semi-dark past. His life was drama free, and had no major worries. That's until a student teacher starts to teach his art class. They instantly clicked and even more. Dan never had any big secrets, he could always tell his "friends" everything. But if him and Mr.Lester are going to continue seeing one another he'll have to hide everything, and cross his fingers the school board doesn't find out. (Keep in mind, Dan is the age of consent so that's not why the relationship is problematic. But students and teachers aren't allowed to be together)

Dan has set a date. He will wait 6 months and if his life isn't better by then he will end it. Just days after planning this he meets Phil. Things get worse at first, and Dan continues to feel worthless. Can Phil save him before its too late? Triggers: self harm, suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, eating disorders. Phil doesn't talks. Well, not anymore. The last time he said something, was when he didn't hate himself. And that was a long time ago. But now, everything is different. He must struggle with depression, whilst new boy Dan Howell desperately attempts to win him over. [Warning: this could be triggering at some points]

" we're friends right? well, you can't really tell me otherwise anyway, which is probably why we're friends. " Or the story of an overenthusiastic boy called Phil, who has trouble shutting up, and a reluctantly mute boy called Dan, who's life is falling apart, and how they both come to realise that sometimes - actions can speak louder than words.

" my name's blurry face and I care what you think. " Dan Howell has an unknown condition where he cannot see faces - no matter what he wears or does - they are always a blur. The doctors nicknamed it 'blurry face', and there's absolutely nothing they can do about it; Dan will have to live without faces. That is, until he meets Phil Lester - the 'bad boy' of Dan's new school - who's face is strangely visible to Dan; much to Dan's wonder and Phil's distaste.

Dan Howell is your stereotypical popular kid. Phil Lester struggles with depression and lives in an abusive home. When the two meet, Dan assumes Phil is just another kid for him to pick on. It turns out to be a bit more complicated than that. in a world where your moods are visible above your head, displayed through pictures and icons, it's impossible to hide your true feelings. however dan howell seems to be lacking this. labelled as an emotionless freak, dan is outcasted because his moods are never visible. that is, until an endlessly happy boy named phil wonders why.
