"Wait...him?" I whisper yell at Mia "Yep" she nods her head slowly. "And they want you to show him around, so he won't get lost like I did when I first started coming here." "But!" "Ara, you know this church better than anyone. He's not gonna hurt you or anything! Just say a quick prayer and go on with it. You'll be fine. If you need anything text me." I take a deep breath "Okay..." "I'm going in" I say in a low battle voice. ---- The bad boy goes to church? Who would've thought? Not very many people by the way he looks or presents himself. Don't judge a book by its cover my friends. He comes all the way from California to a small town in Oklahoma all because of sketching that happens at his old school. There are multiple rumors about him. But can he trust Arabelle to believe him that these aren't true... and to keep his secrets? Arabelle is know as a goody two shoes. She knows the Church more than anybody and is the most faithful, trusting, very sarcastic but nice girl you'll ever meet. They both have their thing in the past, but they try not to let that get to them. That's why they go to church right? To find God, and get away from the past. ***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain. *** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett. Olivia White visited Los Angeles the summer before her freshman year of high school and met a teen heartthrob who fell for her. Hard. She left him when the summer ended and hasn't seen him since, his number blocked, his face forgotten. Three years later, Olivia is a senior in high school and ready to be done with the people around her. Yet when Lincoln Carter decides to move into her town, Olivia panics--what if she's discovered? What if he remembers the girl who left him high and dry and never returned his calls? Nevermind the fact that he doesn't even know her real name. A story of lost love rekindled between two would-be strangers, "Recalling Lincoln Carter" takes away the cliche "pop-star-falls-for-disinterested-fan" storyline and replaces it with a fresh look at just how far lies can take us, and just how far we will go to keep those lies as a reality. Love can be lost, but it can also be recalled. First official chapter published July 11, 2016 Last chapter published January 29, 2017 Highest Rank: #48 in Teen Fiction on 1/29/17
