Many knew him because of his outstanding Quidditch skills, most because of his infatuation with Lily Evans, but everyone knew he was a key member of the infamous Marauders that tormented the castle on a daily basis. Everyone thought he was an open book, easy to read, easy to keep up with. No one really understood how a chap as charming as James Potter would end up falling in love with Alexis Riddle, a renowned name in her own right, for being Lord Voldemort's little sister that is. It was hard for James Potter to keep his emotions under control after every rejection Lily Evans threw at him. It was slowly breaking him. Not even his best mates (Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew) knew what was happening until Athena Rose Lupin started attending Hogwarts during the middle of Sixth Year. Athena was a care-free, kind, intelligent girl with an obsession of having colorful hair. She went to Beauxbatons but dropped out to spend more time with her twin brother. After all she was a Lupin, so she left and started with a Big Bang. This caught the attention of a certain tall, messy haired boy. She slowly but surely falls for James all while making him fall too. Soon enough, Athena's tragic fate will impact everyone. Especially James and herself.
