Kara thought that going to a boarding school for witches would be hard. But when she's framed for murder, she must clear her name before the murderer can strike again. ***** Kara has just turned sixteen and is to attend Greenwood Academy, a witches' boarding school located in the Salem Woods in Massachusetts. But the Zen family is notorious for weak familiars and, as she prepares to summon her familiar for the first time, along with bracing for the bullying that will surely follow, something miraculous happens. The power she summons was thought to be a myth and legend: and it's extremely powerful. Accepted by the popular students within the academy, Kara begins to think that her stay at Greenwood will be an easy one. But when a fellow student is viciously murdered, Kara is the sole suspect of the crime, and she must figure out how to clear her name before tragedy can strike again. But what exactly is the truth when she's going to a three hundred year old boarding school that has secrets? Word count: Approximately 70,000 words. I had been content to pretend sleep as Da carried me, but when we got back to the cottage, I was eager to show Mam the shiny pebble a boy had given me after one of the dances. I ran back and forth from the door to the window as I waited. Da laughed at me. "I suppose you could have just carried me home." "There she is!" I squealed suddenly, making him jump. "Wait, Love, she'll listen to you by the fire," he said, but I was already out the door. "Mam!" "Selene run!" Mam screamed as a great dark shadow leapt from the cover of a shadow and lunged for me. Black eyes were all I saw; black as the bottom of a well without whites or irises. An instant later my life was shattered like glass and I was never able to put it back together, but I didn't know that something was keeping the pieces apart on purpose.

Seizing the front of my shirt, he yanks me towards him so our faces are only a few inches apart. My dark flashing eyes meet his cold blue gaze. "You will do as I say or pay the price." I couldn't put my phone down! Your story is very engaging and amazing!" "I found the book very creative, the idea of setting it in Neverland yet changing the characters from their traditional roles is a great idea. The plot is gripping and interesting. It is full of dramatic surprises and great characters that make the book suspenseful and fun to read." "I love your take on Neverland. Adding Greek mythology was really a nice touch. Jimmy is an unusual character and she seems very opinionated (in a good way), and is very relatable...I love this book!"
