Three months after the infamous Gellert Grindelwald escapes during his transport to Azkaban, the Ministry of Magic finds themselves in yet another uproar, when a witch that was said to have gone missing over a decade ago, washes up on shore alive. Theseus Scamander is the Auror called onto the scene when he discovers that the woman is an old classmate of his, Tyne Ayers. Her skin is marked with scars and burns and yet, she refuses to speak, and the only indicator they have towards any answers, is the coat of a seal lying at her feet. Knowing the ways of the Selkie, Theseus collects her coat and by doing so, Tyne is bound to follow him. She is placed under his care, however, Theseus takes it upon himself to call upon his younger brother for help. Newt Scamander has never been known for his communication skills, but under the circumstances, Theseus believes his brother is the best person for the job. However, the timing couldn't be worse, as the events surrounding Grindelwald drama continue to unfold, roping both brothers in. But it seems Tyne's story may be more involved than they were aware of.

There were some things in life that even magic couldn't heal and for Zakari Ollivander, being deaf was not something that he wanted to be "healed" of anyways. Never considering himself disabled, Zakari considered himself just to be slightly different growing up. He still enjoyed partaking in activities that other children his age were involved in, even if he had to find his own way to do them. It was a challenge sometimes, but Zakari was always up for a challenge. As the grandson of a famous wandmaker, Zakari's biggest challenge yet would come to the young boy when he receives his acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Éponine is the type of person that enjoys the quiet company of herself, filling her time with reading or horseback riding on her family's land and Regulus has been known to never go out of his way to be social. Fearful that the marriage will later on result in nothing but failure, the parents of the teens decide to force the interaction between the two. Her time in New York City only added to the count but it allowed the woman to heal as she came face to face with an old classmate, Newt Scamander. Old wounds were reopened but were able to begin healing properly as she was able to confront a large part of her past. Returning home, Tegwen is trying to get her life back in order. Living with her fathers until she is ready to get back to work, Tegwen is enjoying the quiet life, allowing Freudrick the Hungry Plant to settle in the gardens, when a familiar face shows up one afternoon. Newt Scamander is back after finishing up his manuscript and he comes with a request. A request for Tegwen to join him on another adventure with an offer she can't refuse.

[Book Two] Sequel to Skinny Dipping With a Mermaid. As if losing her father and friends during the Wizarding War didn't weigh heavy enough on the heart of Nixie Dover, to lose the love of her life to imprisonment in Azkaban due to false accusations completely shattered the woman. Turning to the sea for over twelve years, Nixie prepares to spend the rest of her life among the merfolk community and her mother, until she hears a rumour through the seaweed. Sirius Black has escaped Azkaban. Determined to see if the rumours are true, Nixie ventures to the land once more only to find him but to also find the world on the brink of the Second Wizarding War. Terrified of what could occur during the second fight against the Dark Lord and his followers, Nixie is hesitant to join the fight. That is until she hears of the newest secret weapon that can not only help them win the war but stop the Dark Lord once and for all. With unfinished business to attend to with an old Hogwarts "friend" Nixie prepares herself for the final fight.

While his father didn't play a big role in his life, Pierce refused to keep his mother's maiden name. While his home life seemed dysfunctional, Pierce was a rather happy student at Hogwarts. He enjoyed his classes and was friendly to other students. One student in particular caught his eye from the beginning, but not for her looks, but her intelligence. He admired Hermione Granger, because she wasn't afraid to be smart unlike some girls he came across in school, who enjoyed pretending they were scatterbrained. He's thought about the conversations he would like to have with her, but can't bring himself to talk to her. But all that changes when fourth year arrives and the Tri-Wizard Tournament comes to Hogwarts. Pierce finds himself with no choice but to talk to the Gryffindor girl. However, things don't go according to plan, especially when Sherlock Holmes is involved in the scenario.
