It's been 9 years since the Joker was first locked up in Arkham Asylum. Sure, it had its benefits at first - seeing the terrified faces of the workers when they passed his cell, watching people jump when he so much as breathed at them, laughing manically and watching the fear grow in their eyes - But after a while, it starts to get boring. And when the Joker gets bored, it's never good. So he decides it's time for his comeback. Gotham will never see it coming. It will be perfect. Well, that's how things were supposed to go. The Joker makes it out, only to find that he's not the only one trying to take down Gotham. There's a new villain in town - one so cold-blooded, sinister, charming and devious that she might just be a match for the Joker himself. And she won't be willing to share Gotham once she's got it in her clutches. They both have plans, plans to take Gotham for their own. Plans to destroy it, burn it to the ground, and take down anyone who stands in their way - such as the Phoenix, a new hero of Gotham following in the footsteps of the Batman. But sometimes things don't go according to plan. NOTE: this book is mainly based off of the movie "The Dark Knight". However, there will be certain elements and backstories from the comics and television series (Batman: the Animated Series) that are also included.

"But that's not fair..." I whisper so he can't hear. Apparently he did because the clown smiled at me and gripped my hair, causing the back of my head to ache. I tremble as I hear him take a long sniff. "You know what I've noticed Laurel? Nobody panics when things go "according to plan." Even if the plan is horrifying... If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan." But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their fucking minds! Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I'm an agent of chaos. Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It's fair..." *I do not own any characters all right belong to DC Comics, BUT ALL RIGHTS RESERVED TO SUPERJUSTICELEAGUER© ALL COPY RIGHT ALONG WITH ORIGINAL CHARACTERS AND PLOT BELONG TO THE RIGHTFUL AUTHOR*

(In progress) Book 1. Jachin was just a poor boy from the Narrows who struggled to build up a promising future, his mind set on big dreams having faith in breaking out of forlornness some day. But Gotham did never worship those who attempted to break out of its system so Jay had to adapt to the formidable rules of the city for achieving his goals. Inevitably, everything became chaos when fate punished him for his stubbornness and his idealistic aspirations. All it took was one bad day. (Pre TDK) Book 2. To be flooded by ordinariness and drown in the mediocrity of Gotham City has always been Saffron Corteccia's nightmare of a life since her childhood. When she finds herself writing articles about Gotham City Metro' s new seat foam plastic for the least sophisticated tabloid in the entire city, even though the town is brimming over with criminal affairs, she is even a bit thankful to be pulled out of her dreadful boredom by the ultimate criminal mastermind the Joker. And in the end madness is like gravity; all it takes is a little push. (TDK) Both books are included in this edition The Joker in this story is based on Mr. Ledger's stunning version in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. (I do not own the Joker or Gotham but I own all my OCs and Jack's background story)
