"Esmeralda Fostis!" I demanded. "Don't you dare do this to me, not to me, not like the others!" I grab her arm and drag her onto the wall. I pin her there, seething. "Can't you see, Esme? I'm right here, I've always been right here! Don't shut me out, You can never shut me out!" "I can't see!" she yells back. "That's the thing Claude, I can't see! Why do you want a girl who can't see?" Her voice breaks at the end. She sags against my weight, defeat overcoming her. Impulsively, I pull her towards me and pulled her into a hug. Softly, I whispered. "Esme, first off, I love you. I wouldn't be acting bat shit crazy if I didn't. She smiles faintly. "I love you because I can see for you." I tighten my hands around her waist. "I can see that you are the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on, literally. I can see how observant your are, I can see how utterly brilliant you are. More of all, I can see you, like you see me." "Like what?" she ask softly now. I smile cunningly. "Blindly irresistible."
