'storyline' is my ninth poetry collection. Written with no concept or preconception in mind, each and every poem featured in this collection came directly from my heart. It documents everything I have experienced this summer: from love to hate, safety to fear, sanity to insanity, marriage to divorce, healthy to sick and written to unwritten. Every ten years, someone is picked. The Demons will play with your soul for three days. At the end of the three days, if you haven't given in, you are set free from your nightmares. If you give in, they claim your soul and they do with you whatever they please with you for all eternity.

"Let me go," I demanded weakly, knowing I was helpless against him. "Now, why would I do that kitten?" He grinned, a devious spark in his eyes. "Because I don't want you," I whispered breathlessly. His hazel eyes turned to hard topaz. "Oh, come on now, Kitten," he said, tone barely concealing his anger. "You're mine. You don't have a choice." Ivory Martin lived in a world that demanded balance. Every person was born in pairs, an opposite somewhere around the world to balance them. These pairs consisted of a dominant and a recessive, every dominant had some sort of special ability in which he could use to protect his recessive. Atticus Sanchez was Ivory's pair, and happened to have extremely strong psychic abilities, including telepathy, telekinesis and mind control. He also happened to have the unnerving ability to annoy the absolute shit out of her. Will Ivory be able to accept him with all of his secrets and danger? This story contain strong language, and inapproprate humor! This is not PG, kiddies! You have been warned!

"Kiss me." He orders, slamming my locker shut. "Is she coming?" I ask, turning my head to look behind me, but he grabs my face and makes me look up at him. "Yes, now kiss me." I do as told, getting on my tippy toes as I lean up to kiss him. He kisses me back slowly, before he pins me against the lockers and deepens the kiss. My eyes widen and I try to push him away. This isn't part of the deal. He pulls away, a full on smirk plastered on his face. "I lied." He confesses, turning around. "She wasn't coming." Then, he walks away.

Compared to the beautiful, outgoing Melody, Sutton Bran has always lived in her older sister's shadow as the shy, innocent girl. Even so, she happens to catch the attention of mysterious bad boy Colton Jones. He steals her first kiss one night at a party and sends her home thinking that her life is finally starting to fall into place... that is, until she arrives at her house to find that Melody has been killed in a drunk driving accident. Unable to deal with her grief, Sutton's life spirals out of control. But one guy thinks he has what it takes to show her there's still so much to live for. All she has to do is be a little rebellious.
