The Omega goes into a cycle called the heat period and during this time, pheromones are released and it attracts any Alpha within a one mile radius and the only thing they think of during this time is breeding.

So hiccup is a female in this story, and this will start before the beginning of the first movie. Hicca is an outcast. She never got along with the other Vikings.
