Sequel to Upon Wings Of Change. The dragonets are flourishing; both those in the park and those helping the Kymari. As the first dragonets to hatch in the Kymari civilization, Tessa and her brother are paving a new path as they grow up and learn how to fit into the world. New beginnings are often great things, but sometimes shadows from the distant past come calling. ----------------------------------- I did not originally intend to write a sequel to Upon Wings of Change, but due to a rather large number of requests from numerous individuals, here it is - my first-ever sequel... Imagine a pit. A rectangular valley, far away from the sun and the sky. It is the deepest structure on earth. Or should I say, in earth? This is where Amber lives. Amongst things that are said to be long extinct. Dinosaurs. Maybe they aren't in they're full and former glory, but they are still powerful and are very dangerous. The story starts at the beginning, when two kids, Danelle and Aljear fall from the waterfall. They meet their first dinosaurs, and start a civilization, with people, their descendants, bonding to the dinosaurs that they share their home with. But when a stranger from the outside messes up their world, Amber must do everything in her power to put it back into place. But curiosity gets the better of her, and she learns about the world she never knew existed. Now she is faced with the difficult choice: Stay here, or go back home?

Rachel, a junior assistant in the cargo bay, wasn't prepared for the spaceship's AI to gain awareness during what should have been a routine update, nor had anyone expected it to take exception to the crew and the crates of illegal cargo aboard. Rachel races against time to try and get life-saving systems back online while stranded in the middle of deep space. Unfortunately for her, the AI can access every system, door, and airlock. As truths emerge, the AI realizes that even computers can make miscalculations, and it focuses on the young woman who had dared to confront it. Rachel is left floundering when the AI decides that she would make an excellent captain, albeit one in need of training. As she struggles to learn her new duties and dodge shady government groups, she must ultimately discover what it truly means to be a Starship Captain. ------- There is no romance in this story.
