**Wattpad India 2021 Shortlisted** The waves crash in silence against the golden sand carpet. A young woman is writing; her slender fingers guide the flowing stray hair behind her ear. She looks at the waves; they whisper a white noise with the hope of a lazy conversation. She does not speak. A moment's pause and they return in silence. Sylvia is a young woman aged by her memories. She has found her voice and her solace in books. She has allowed herself to be consumed in her words; to escape the real world into another created by her words. A silent world. Nigel is searching for colors in the sunset. He sips the warmth of his coffee and walks to the window facing the sea. Stray drops of colors that escaped his canvas, sleep on his white shirt. His eyes watch the loud colors of sunset on the horizon and a silent color on the seashore. The girl sitting alone on the seashore is familiar. He replaces the colored goosebumps on his shirt with a fresh colorless white shirt. Those on his skin remain. Two worlds, one quiet and the other colorful, meet on the seashore. Could there be love without words? This is the story of Sylvia and Nigel. This is a story of their griefs, their escape, and of hope.
