"ഇന്നെന്റെ നിക്കാഹ്.... ഇത്ര പെട്ടന്ന്.... ഞാൻ എന്റെ അനിയത്തിക്കുട്ടിയെ നോക്കി. എന്റെ നിക്കാഹിനെ കുറിച്ച് എന്നേക്കാൾ സങ്കൽപ്പങ്ങൾ അവൾക്കായിരുന്നു. ഇന്നു പക്ഷെ അവളുടെ മുഖത്ത് ആ ആവേശമോ സന്തോഷമോ ഒന്നും തന്നെയില്ല. "എന്റെ തീരുമാനം തെറ്റായിപ്പോയോ....???" ഞാൻ വല്ലാത്തൊരു അവസ്ഥയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.
