After a tragic heartbreak from Elena going to Damon. Stefan decides to move on. He calls Katherine up asks her out which she couldn't refuse. Later on that night they both get drunk and things happen. A few weeks later Katherine wakes up puking her guts up. Stefan tells Katherine that she could be having morning sickness but Katherine tells Stefan vampires can't procreate.
