Thing is: Merlin is in love with Arthur, and he could never bear to see his king fall in love with anyone else. And Arthur isn't even sure if he wants to get married himself... (This is an AU! It's just an ordinary in Camelot…well as normal as things get around here. Arthur and Merlin are out on a hunting trip by themselves and all seems well…until they are ambushed by a group of Morgana's men. The duo are separated, Arthur just escaping, but Merlin being caught. They take him back to Morgana, where she proceeds to torture him by twisting his memories. Every happy moment, every sad moment, every moment ever spent between Arthur and Merlin is twisted in Merlin's mind, causing him to believe that Arthur wants him dead. Eager to see Arthur's reaction, she lets Merlin go, making it seem that he escaped. When a search patrol finds him stumbling, weak, in the Valley of the Fallen Kings they approach him delightedly, glad to see he's safe. But when they learn the truth will things ever be the same between Merlin and Arthur again, or will he fear Arthur forevermore?

Still based in Camelot , Merlin is Arthur's new serveant as you all probably excpected. Merlin realizes working for him isn't as bad as he thought and Arthur couldn't agree more .

Arthur Pendragon is hopeless when it comes to the act of courting. Having failed numerous attempts at courting his manservant, Merlin, Arthur turns to the only people he can think of for help: the Knights of the Round Table.

Merlin really was the court idiot. Was this what the Dragon had meant by halves of a whole? (I don't own anything.)

Arthur and Merlin become separated at the Valley of the Fallen Kings. Merlin fears he may never see his King again; meanwhile, Arthur makes discoveries of his own. Takes place in between Seasons 4 and 5.

Merlin is injured unknowingly to the others during training and then is later shot by vengeful bandits on a hunt. Arthur is forced to take his shirt off to treat the wound but when Merlin wakes he's pelted by questions because of the scars. Friendship. Whump. Scar reveal fic. Reveal fic. The king feels no guilt when he enters the couple's home, killing both Balinor and Hunith as they try desperately to protect their son. But, instead of having the child meet the same fate Uther decides to keep the young dragonlord as a form of token. A spoil of war. So, once he returns he locks the boy away somewhere deep in Camelot's dungeons. Merlin remains there for years, alone and afraid until one day a young prince finds him.

When some of the new recruits notice the odd behavior of a certain servant towards their King and the other knights, they take measures in to their own hands to teach him a lesson. What will Arthur and his knights of the round table do when Merlin starts to act weird around them? English is not my language so bear with me please. Hope you like it. R&R! I don't own Merlin! COMPLETED. Merlin thought his Soulpoetry, a "two sides" inscription on his sternum, was about his life, trying to hide his magic all the time. Arthur thought that his Soulpoetry, an "of the same coin" scrawl on the base of his fingers, referred to the fact that he led a very dull Pendragon life.
