i love writing poetry. it has been my coping mechanism and a way of emotional expression for many years. when i have feelings for a girl, i write a poem. when i'm having a mental breakdown, i write a poem. when i'm figuring out my thoughts, i write a poem. sometimes i'll write some for fun, or just because. most of them come from raw emotions. i write the words as they come to me in my free verse poems and i do very little editing. any editing done is changing up a single word in one spot. tw; mental illness, internalized homophobia, and focus on deep emotional pain is a frequent mention in my poems.
