Long ago in imperial Japan, there was a catastrophic one-sided power struggle between the royal family and the kitsune, a species of shapeshifting foxes long revered as the children of Amaterasu, goddess of the sun. Despite the circumstances, a treacherously forbidden romance began to brew between the kitsune army's young general and the imperial princess.
𝕺𝖓𝖊 𝖗𝖊𝖘𝖈𝖚𝖊 𝖒𝖎𝖘𝖘𝖎𝖔𝖓. 𝕮𝖆𝖙𝖆𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖕𝖍𝖎𝖈 𝖗𝖊𝖘𝖚𝖑𝖙𝖘.
When the kitsune general's entire army and family get brutally slaughtered, in a cruel twist of fate, he himself is allowed to live...forever. In exchange for his name, which is the manifestation of a kitsune's soul, the general is forced to wander the earth for all eternity. In order to move on to the afterlife, he must either figure out what his soul is lacking, or seek out the maiden that bears the brand of his name.
"𝕴 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖆𝖘𝖐𝖊𝖉 𝖋𝖔𝖗 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖘! 𝕴 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖉𝖎𝖉!"
Moving forward many centuries later, we have Serizawa Fumi, a working college student who tries to stay positive, despite having suffered a tragic past. Ever since she turned sixteen, a dream consisting of a fox begging her to "save Him" reoccurs every year. Why does she keep having this dream, and what message is the fox trying to convey?
