The novel "Made in the Campus by the Sea" revolves around the love story of two gays who were born into a traditional elite Filipino families and who were educated in a prestigious school. It mirrors the changing attitude of the Filipino society towards the LGBT community in the late 1990's; and, it pictures how the main characters were aghast about the discriminatory attitude. With the support of their relatives who played an active role in politics and religion of the country, their deep and profound love for each other blossomed.
