Soukoku - Band au Chuuya si sente miserabile. La sua intera esistenza gira attorno al suonare tutte le sere nello squallido locale della sua ragazza. Vorrebbe andarsene, ma non può. È bloccato lì contro la sua volontà. Dazai si sente miserabile perché la malattia lo sta consumando. Non ha risposte, sa che deve sopportare. "Cronica" hanno chiamato la sua malattia. È bloccato con essa, con il suo dolore per tutta la vita. E poi un giorno, in una sera qualsiasi, Chuuya e Dazai si incontrano, qualcosa cambia, qualcosa si mette in moto.
