And that whoever wields the white root, would be the last and immortal ruler of the wizarding world with power equating to the three divine creators of the wizarding world. However, wilding this power comes at a great cost! And only the few that know the ultimate danger will stand to defend the white root. These are the Ministry of the White Nile. They have been there long enough to ensure the safety of the only map to the gates of Uagadou. The ministry of the White Nile is composed of a special animal shape-shifting order of guardians/magicians known as the Animagi to ensure the safety of the only physical map indicating the location of the white root. And the enemy can not get through the Animagus except with the assistance of the Barokhu. And no one but K-pata Akingbade, a retired commander of the Animagi can command the Barokhu believing he was the last surviving Alpha Animagus descending from Kintu, the first Animagi. K'pata will not give up the alpha Animagi gift no matter what. However, killing him was the other option to claiming the alpha Animagi gift. Unfortunately, Babajidi Akingbade, the commander's 15-year-old son snatches his forefather's gift unsure of how to use it.

The bad guy is always wearing a black cape so you always know who he is. Then you grow up and you realize that Prince Charming is not as easy to find as you thought. You realize the bad guy is not wearing a black cape and he's not easy to spot; he's really funny, and he makes you laugh, and he has perfect hair." ~Taylor Swift When Alana was younger, she lived and breathed fairy tales. Milena, an obedient teenager, has to team up with the supernatural creatures she was taught to fear in order to escape the people she once loved. ***** In a world where humans must hide underground to stay safe from the creatures who roam the night, Milena's life as an outcast is hardly worth noticing. But on the day her village is attacked and her life is spared by the mysterious Elias, Milena is forced to throw everything she thought she knew about her world out the window. Because while Elias looks just as human as she is, he's actually the leader of a pack of wolf shifters, and the bond she feels with him compels her to start asking questions about the things she's been told about the creatures of the night. Because if her village was willing to lie about something like this, what other secrets might they be keeping from her?
